What is the Capital Gold Rush Marketplace?

Capital Gold Rush Marketplace is Sacramento's online community mall for melanated (Black) and Indigenous-owned businesses. Shoppers browse eight themed districts to discover local shops, services, restaurants, makers, ministries, and youth programs — and keep dollars circulating in our neighborhoods.

Who can list a business on the marketplace?

Melanated (Black) and Indigenous-owned businesses, churches, ministries, and nonprofits serving the Sacramento region. Every application is reviewed by the Mall Manager before the storefront goes live.

How much does it cost to join?

A Prospector listing is $25 per month for the first 3 months (introductory rate). The Gold Merchant tier is $75 per month and includes everything in Prospector plus featured placement, homepage rotation, calendar posts and an enhanced profile. Listings in the Faith & Service Corner are always free.

What are the eight districts?

What is a Gold Nugget founding merchant?

The first 10 businesses to join earn a numbered Gold Nugget founding slot (GN-01 through GN-10), a permanent founder badge, and lock in the $25/month introductory rate for 3 months.

When is the grand opening?

The Capital Gold Rush Marketplace grand opening is November 1, 2026, across every district.

How do I find Black-owned businesses in Sacramento?

Visit the Capital Gold Rush Marketplace, open a district such as Taste of Sacramento, Wellness Way, or The Makers Market, or use the search page to find businesses by name, category, or district.

Can I advertise on the marketplace?

Yes. Businesses and sponsors can request banner and spotlight placements through the Advertise page; the Mall Manager follows up with options.

What are house stores?

House stores are storefronts run or sponsored by the Capital Gold Rush Marketplace itself — community resources and featured spots that are always free and never require a subscription.
